Telly LIVE at Acoustic Long Island

Telly – Having no formal musical education to speak of or family member with an old guitar to pass down, singer/songwriter telly has been finding his way around the NY music scene through trial and lots of error. Numerous stints as the uncertain frontman of uncertain bands that never made it out of the basement frustrated him into going it alone. His style was born from the bars and beach parties he’s been performing at since college. Whether he’s performing his poppy ballads or signature blend of rock, blues and funk as a soloist or with bassist Aram Chekijian and drummer Chris Hadjopoulos, a telly show is always an experience. A written song might segue-way into a freestyle jam or an unexpected cover. There are songs to make you cry and songs to make you think, songs to make you laugh and songs to make you sing. And while his heartfelt lyrics often address the fears and struggles that we associate with change, even his deepest songs share with the rest a common theme of genuine optimism and appreciation for the undpredictable ride of life.
