I must be crazy.

On Sunday, March 7th, my brother Rob and I will be jumping into the icy waters of the Long Island Sound with nothing but Speedos on. Why the heck would we do this? Glad you asked. We’re taking part in something called the UCPN Polar Bear Plunge. It’s an annual event which raises much needed donations for United Cerebral Palsy of Nassau (UCPN).

That’s where you come in. We’d really appreciate it if you’d sponsor our frost-bitten efforts with a donation of $10 (Sponsor), $20 (Gold Sponsor), or $50 (Diamond Sponsor). And of course, you can sponsor for even more! Our team, Team NTFC (consisting of five guys with moderate to heavy body insulation), is attempting to come in first place with donations. So to help make that happen, we will match the donation of anyone who figures out what “NTFC” stands for.

The donation process is easy, and it will only take you a minute. Just CLICK HERE or go to the link below, fill in some info, and you’re done. Your two minutes of work will give Rob and I a year worth of bragging rights. More importantly, you’ll be helping UCPN, an organization that provides many valuable services to people with disabilities.

Thank you. It will feel much better swimming in 35 degree waters knowing that our friends and family are there with us, supporting a good cause.

Sincerely,
Dave Dircks
