Apr 30: A Light Night at Acoustic Long Island
Was it American Idol? A Yankees game? A national red alert? We weren’t sure what was going on, but there was an unusually thin crowd at the mansion. It hadn’t been like that since the early days when we were at the cafe. Oh well, we didn’t over-think it. It was still a stellar evening of music for those who showed up. You’ll be hearing from Dave Dircks, Phil Kennelty, Mike Maclain, Don Olsen, Richard Cashman, Hank Stone and Martha Trachtenberg.

Original Compositions as well as arrangements of well known songs by Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Bill Withers and Dr. Lonnie Smith. Adam was born and raised in Harlem. He was mugged in front of his building when he was 10. He played in a hard rock band at 12, got ripped off by a club owner on his first gig at 15, and by 18 he was a rapper on a gold record in overseas. That's callled "paying dues" - and you hear it in his songs, in his feeling for the blues, in his groove, in his touch. The history and life experience puts the fire in this man's music. He puts the "sizzle" in the "steak" musically speaking. For more go to
